Forest School Sessions for Kinship & Foster Carers 5-11yrs
Forest School Sessions for Kinship & Foster Carers 5-11yrs
Our Forest School sessions for Kinship & Foster Carers have been running since 2020, and take place monthly on a Sunday.
Our experienced Forest School leader and team will provide child-centred activities to improve physical and mental wellbeing, and help with social skills, raising self-esteem and improving sensory function. The sessions provide an outdoor play and learning experience, supporting engagement with nature in a safe and positive environment.
Adults may stay to enjoy the experience, have a cuppa and connect with other carers. Or, once the children are settled and happy in the garden, you might choose to enjoy a couple of hours precious respite time.
If you are interested in participating please get in touch.
These sessions are currently funded by Torus Foundation | Liverpool, Warrington, St Helens
Kinship Carers provide a safe home for many children and young people who may otherwise be in local authority care. They provide a valuable service, supporting children who cannot be with their birth parents.
