PAST EVENT Forest Bathing for Health & Wellbeing
PAST EVENT Forest Bathing for Health & Wellbeing
These sessions are part of a range of nature-connection services funded by Liverpool City Council, suitable for people clinically vulnerable to covid for whom perhaps life has not returned to normal yet. This also includes those adversely affected by covid, such as those with long covid.
Forest bathing is the art of connecting to the therapeutic and restorative effects of nature. It is a wonderful practice that can have remarkable impacts and provides tools for you to use beyond the session. There is a wealth of scientific and anecdotal evidence about the positive impact of connecting to nature on health outcomes, and connecting mindfully as with Forest Bathing only serves to increase this impact.
We’ll spend time in nature with our experienced guide Claire, from Journeys in Nature, and finish with herbal teas.
Places are limited, so booking is essential.
Some comments from previous Forest Bathing participants:
'I didn't want it to end...’
‘A truly overwhelming experience, finding inner peace and reconnecting with nature!’
‘Beautiful experience, still feeling the healing effects in my body now. Thank you for holding the space.’
If you’d like to know more about how we will help everyone feel safe and comfortable in these sessions, please email us.
Please note that due to uneven ground, this event is not accessible for wheelchair users, and people who use sticks to assist with walking may struggle. If sufficient demand is there, we may be able to arrange a more accessible session at a different venue: if you would be interested in this, please email us.
For more information on forest bathing and what to expect, please visit the Journeys in Nature website.
