Drawing & Talking Therapy
After working as a Primary school teacher, SENDCo and Well-Being lead I became aware of the increased anxiety in young children. I am passionate about supporting the wellbeing of children and this led me to discover ‘Drawing and Talking’- an attachment based therapeutic intervention.
Based on Carl Jung’s principles of the power of healing when working with the unconscious, Drawing and Talking is a safe and gentle therapeutic approach. It provides an effective way for both children (and adults) to process emotional pain or trauma they may be experiencing. Drawing and Talking Therapy originated from the Serial Drawing Technique, devised by Dr John Allan, a Psychotherapist and Jungian Analyst.
I offer a safe space for children aged 5 years plus, to allow their imagination to unfold to process any worries, anxiety or trauma.
