Sunday 19 October 1-3pm: Forest Bathing mindfulness and nature connection
Forest bathing is the art of connecting to the therapeutic and restorative effects of nature. It is a wonderful practice that can have remarkable impacts and provides tools for use beyond the session. This session will involve a gentle walk where you will be offered a series of ‘invitations’, suggestions of ways to connect more deeply with nature and open the senses.
Sunday 16 November 1-3pm: Human Book Club creative journalling
Become the author of your very own story by exploring different media to showcase your lived experiences. In a cosy firepit environment, try out spoken word, painting, creative writing and scrapbooking - whichever speaks the loudest to you to help navigate your internal world.
Saturday 20 December 1-3pm: Herbalism - creating health & wellbeing products from plants
If you’re curious about natural health and wellbeing and how to harness the power of plants, then join us for this introduction to herbalism, where you’ll learn about some of the beneficial plants that grow around us, and make your own herbal products to take home.
This project has been developed directly with a care leaver for care leavers, in collaboration with The Human Book Club and Lived Experience Learning.
Funded by LCVS Community Impact Fund.
Growing Sudley are pleased to be members of the Care Leavers Covenant network, offering support to care leavers through opportunities in education, work, wellbeing, money and their home.
