Join Barbara Shields, experienced Tai Chi and Qi Gong practitioner, for some self-care amongst the plants and birdsong. This class is all about practising outside in the beautiful environment of the garden, which in itself brings great health benefits. Regular and mindful practice of Qigong has been demonstrated to reduce inflammation, improve recovery from disease and maintain a healthy and balanced mind and body.
Part of a rich ancient traditional health and wellbeing system, Qi Gong is a low impact practice that enhances physical and mental health. In Traditional Chinese Medicine it is practiced alongside Acupuncture and Herbal approaches as a way to balance body and mind to prevent disease and unhappiness and encourage natural healing. In China, you might be referred to a Qigong centre as part of your prescription, and we think that should be the case here!
