In Spring-Summer 2021 we ran a crowdfund campaign to ‘Turn The Changing Rooms Green!’
This was to help towards the costs of renewable technology and systems required for the low carbon retrofit of a derelict changing rooms building next to the walled garden. The building will support the Therapeutic Horticulture and Nature Therapy work in the garden.
We raised around £26,000 through this campaign, including £10,000 from Liverpool City Council. The budget on the refurbishment of the building, funded by Power To Change, the organisation that supports community businesses in England, and radical social funder The Tudor Trust, has been challenged by rising costs due to covid, brexit and other unforseen delays. So we’re continuing our crowdfunding efforts HERE for anyone who wants to donate towards the project.
