Sonia Chapman
Psychotherapist
I’m Sonia, a BACP Accredited psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience supporting people through some of life’s most challenging times.
I work with people who are navigating life transitions, relationship difficulties, burnout, and the impact of trauma, anxiety, or depression. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself, and unsure where to start. I offer a supportive space where you can feel safe, heard, and not judged.
My approach is client-centred, collaborative, and integrative, and we will focus on what feels most important to you. Together, we’ll work at your pace, to explore your experiences, process difficult emotions, to understand what’s going on for you and what you need.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and Interpersonal Therapy, tailoring our work together to suit your individual needs.
I have particular experience supporting people affected by domestic abuse, grief, loss, and depression. I have also worked extensively with young adults, neurodiverse people, those with experience of adoption or being in care, and members of LGBTQIA+ communities.
Therapy with me is about helping you feel more grounded, more self-aware, and more empowered to make lasting, positive changes in your life. I aim to help you reconnect with yourself, and move forward in a way that feels meaningful to you.
