PAST EVENT Garden Blitz Day Saturday 6 August
PAST EVENT Garden Blitz Day Saturday 6 August
Anytime between 10am and 2pm
Come and help us get ready for our Open Day! Pop in for an hour or two or bring a butty and stay for the whole session…
What to do: We will be making sure the garden is tidy, safe and accessible in certain areas: chipping, pruning, digging, weeding and generally getting the garden looking its best in time for the open day. You can then bring your friends and family back the next week to our Open Day on 14 Aug to show them your work and share the love of our garden and growing project.
Who: Anyone can come along. We will provide refreshments and volunteers will also receive a small gift of seeds to say thank you for your support. It would be helpful if you could let us know you are coming so we can plan for this.
As there will be tool use and a busy working environment it would be more suitable for adults and children over the age of 12. Children must be supervised by a parent at all times. Sorry but no dogs are allowed, except guide and therapy dogs.
What to bring: A cup for a brew. We have some equipment, but if you have your own gloves, secateurs, trowels, loppers etc then please do bring them along. We are also in need of a couple more wheelbarrows if anyone has one to donate.
If you’d like to join us, or sign up to our volunteer mailing list for future work sessions, please get in touch.
