£40 including leather bound art journal

Maternal Journal provides a positive outlet for some of the feelings and challenges you might experience, both physically and emotionally, in pregnancy and parenthood. Maternal Journal uses the practice of creative journalling as a way to express feelings, reflect on experiences and promote good mental health and wellbeing.

Over a series of four weeks, Maternal Journal offers a place to meet, connect and create together, helping to transition through the last few weeks of winter towards spring. Each week will be inspired by different journalling prompts in a small group setting.

An art journal will be provided to new participants on the first session, as well as all art materials and tea and biscuits.  No experience or creativity is necessary; it’s all about the process, connection and time. Please note that the project can generate strong feelings, and therefore is not recommended for people with a history of, or current, serious mental health issue.

Maternal Journal Liverpool is an inclusive and safe space for anyone who has experienced pregnancy, given birth, identifies as a mother or as a woman or non-binary carer. Babes in arms are welcome to join us.

The group will run for 4 weeks, starting on Wednesday 4 February (with a break for half term). You should ideally be able to attend all 4 sessions for the benefit of you and the group.
