PAST EVENT: Fire Cider Workshop, Sunday 17 December

£0.00

Sunday 17 December

1-3pm

Join us for a warming winter workshop where you'll learn to make the simple and traditional winter herbal tonic, Fire Cider. Using warming and invigorating herbs and household ingredients, you will make your own jar of Fire Cider to take home. You can take the remedy daily throughout the colder months, to boost immunity and ward off colds and flu. During the workshop, you'll learn from Medical Herbalist Sue Sprung why the different ingredients used in Fire Cider, such as ginger, chilli and horseradish, support health and wellness and be able to ask questions about supporting your own health this winter. This will be an informal but informative hands-on session, in the polytunnel in the walled garden. If weather permits we will gather round the campfire to celebrate the approach of the year's end together.

Please dress warmly and appropriately for the weather, with good footwear. We recommend bringing plenty of layers!

All ingredients and equipment will be supplied for you to take home a jar of your own Fire Cider. (Please note, there is no alcohol involved!)
